AdP takes over as president of the PPA


The General Assembly of the PPA – the Portuguese Partnership for Water, held on 28 March, elected its management bodies for the 2017-2020 triennial, with the AdP Group taking over the presidency of the Board of Directors, represented by Alexandra Serra, Director of AdP Internacional.


Set up in April 2011, the PPA is a platform facilitating the internationalisation of the Portuguese water sector and today an institution with a nationally and internationally recognised reputation that performs a fundamental role in promoting and enhancing the capacities of the Portuguese water sector worldwide.


The new PPA Board of Directors brings together a set of entities with renowned track records in internationalisation while also strengthening the presence of the business cluster. Providing continuity to the work undertaken in recent years, the main program objectives for the 2017-2020 triennial involve further raising the international visibility of the Portuguese water sector, fostering initiatives interrelated with innovation and competitiveness, boosting the expansion and reach of internationalisation into new strategic markets for Portuguese companies and prioritising the theme of financing those international projects of relevance to the Portuguese water sector.


In this triennial, the AdP Group, as the largest national public group in the water and sanitation service sectors, with over 15 years of international activities, shall remain an important actor in the growth and internationalisation of the Portuguese water sector.
