EPAL, responsible for water distribution to the city of Lisbon, designed and launched this service that enables clients to accompany the trends in their respective water consumption through consulting the invoiced consumption, calculating the daily average level of consumption and the scope for comparing this with the usual values prevailing in Lisbon and as well as enabling the communication of meter readings.

The Waterbeep solution also includes a warning service triggered whenever consumption patterns deviate from the norm and thereby enabling the identification of potential anomalies such as non-authorised consumptions, including leaks and similar, and thereby minimising the associated costs and damage.

Adapted to the new media technologies, EPAL provides this and other services through its smartphone application MyAqua.
