The Águas de Portugal (AdP) model of governance incorporates a separation of powers between the different corporate bodies: the General Assembly, Board of Directors, Executive Committee, Supervisory Board, Statutory Auditor and Company Secretary.

The company governance model in effect at Águas de Portugal spans an administrative structure made up of the Board of Directors and an Executive Committee with powers delegated by that body to undertake the daily management of the Group, a supervisory structure that integrates the Supervisory Board and the Chartered Accountant (Portuguese acronym ROC hereafter), as well as a Company Secretary dedicated to providing specialist support to the management.

The AdP governance has evolved in the direction of the very best practices in corporate governance.
